This is probably the most affordable hot pot place in LA. Their food quality has always been consistent and service is always on point. This is one of the few Asian places where you don't have to ask for a water refill or tissue refill. They will come and do all those without asking. Food is also fresh and soup broth is always on point. Their fried pork and mushrooms are also a must-order. Beef tripe is a 10/10. Their free side dish and dessert are also super yummy. Environment can be a hit or a miss from time to time.

Welcome to the hotpot haven of San Gabriel! Nice 2 Meet U has been holding its own in this fiery food landscape for quite some time now, and let me tell you, it's got some serious chops. Picture this: most folks walk in craving that classic dual-broth setup - one spicy, one mellow. It's a match made in hotpot heaven. What sets this spot apart? Well, for starters, they've got an appetizer spread that'll make your taste buds dance. And here's the kicker - they're budget-friendly too! Instead of shelling out big bucks for pre-made plates, you can hit up their self-serve fridge line and load up on skewers for just 50 cents a pop. Talk about a steal! Now, let's talk spice. Their spicy broth isn't for the faint of heart - even the mild option packs a flavorful punch. But fear not, it's worth every sweat-inducing slurp! So, if you're in the mood for a hotpot adventure that won't break the bank, Nice 2 Meet U is the place to be. Just be sure to bring your appetite and your tolerance for heat - you're gonna need 'em!

The choices for Chinese hot pot here in Los Angeles are kind of limited (there are probably only five that are worth going to?), especially when you want the ones that are delicious and don't make you feel like you'd just splurged on a meal? Then, look no further then Nice 2 Meet U (那年遇见)!This place can get really crowded at dinner time! Nevertheless, the constant long lines are definitely justified ! The place is clean, and their customer service is great and very responsive. Moreover, the atmosphere here is pretty cozy even when it's crowded because everyone seems to be enjoying their meals! Moving on to their food, the skewers are priced at $0.45 each and the one that can add up to your bills at the end are the colored plates (3/4 plates would already cost you $30 or more). As for the broth, if you choose to go for the spicy beef oil flavor and unless you are good at eating spice, then you'd better pick the mildest spice level available because it can get really spicy. I have personally tried the bone broth, but they tend to be left untouched because I would just dip all of my skewers on the spicy broth! They also have side dishes right in front of the entrance which you can get for a fixed price, so get them to your heart's content! Food I would recommend: - Pork intestines (10/10): When I am driving to this restaurant, this is all I could think about! - Spicy beef (10/10): My second favorite meat! - Frozen Tofu (10/10): The ones served here just taste special! - Original Fried Rice (10/10): Not only do they taste good, but they also help to reduce the spice numbness in your mouth! Nevertheless, if there's something that I wish could be done better, then it's the fact that they don't seem to have exhausts in the restaurant. Therefore, as it gets crowded, you would notice that the place might get really smokey! Finally, this is a must try for Chinese hot pot lovers! You would not be disappointed!

The place was decent for my first time. My friends go here often but I honestly believe they should up their game on their self serve side dishes. There are other great hotpot places in the SGV at the same price point with better options and at the same time serve the meat/veggies on your table compared to self serve option. Parking was manageable on a weeknight, it might get busy on a weekend for this plaza. Service was alright as they were quick but this is definitely a no frills hotpot spot.
